I work as a technical manager overseeing projects to their successful delivery.

Pros
- There is a great provision for learning and improving your skills. Capgemini has a great catalogue of trainings and you can learn any technology or skills desired. Capgemini is one of the companies with the best campuses. - The canteen, food, pantry and the offices overall are really amazing. - It has well evolved IT and Admin horizontals. - The overall culture is also good as there are fewer instances of politics. The work-life balance if pretty good as the company allows flexible timings and working from home.
Cons
- I for one am Not obsessed with annual appraisals, however there is a great disparity with how they pay their existing employees vs newer ones, regardless of how well they are doing. This is very discouraging and it encourages attrition. - Since it is an MNC there is desperation among people for onsite opportunities. This can be toxic to some people. - There is no flexibility in changing roles. Managers often assign roles that the project requires rather than what the employee desires in his career. There is a lack of a technical ladder and often people are forced into management roles. Freshers are often overtrained and are assigned roles irrelevant to their training and ambitions. - The IT processes are well defined however they are very slow in response and often do a poor job. The HR follow the norm of being the worst people on this planet. They forget that it is their job to help employee before police around corporate nonsense!

Pros
Worst company to begin your career. I was working at Bangalore Whitefield location and worked on project for client Meijer. Disheartening management, on-site fellows like Parijat Kumar, Atul Tyagi from Capgemini at Meijer client location in Grand Rapids Michigan were misleading the client with false automation statistics and when pointed out on facts, they created ruckus internally. I had performed outstanding and created all working PoCs for the clients from scratch (even automated use cases related to mainframe systems , mobile automation on android and iOS). But sadly I was only experiencing imbecile politics within this team due to weak offshore management and what I witnessed is the cruel reality of mutual deception and how they fooled Meijer business throughout. I had no option but to leave the company even after getting amazing appraisal, in order to save my career and learning curves based on my aspirations. Never ever join Capgemini Bangalore if you really aspire to learn and grow your career. Few people I’m naming here that needs to be seriously checked/reviewed for their technical/managerial understanding of the process : Sonali Akhave ( Director Mumbai) Parijat Kumar ( Capgemini Manager at client location Meijer, Grand Rapids Michigan) Atul Kumar Tyagi ( Automation Lead at client location Meijer, Grand Rapids Michigan). I urge the eminent leaders of Capgemini India to please review these above guys work and also have a check on why so many good employee had left since late 2018 and initial months of 2019, all due to the sad politics of these impostors.
Cons
Worst politics at Capgemini Bangalore Meijer project. I was even forced to work till 2am in the midnight even after being an outstanding performer in my team.

I’m a java developer.

Pros
Like : Nothing
Cons
Dislike : 1. I was in capgemini Bangalore Bellandur LBS branch , deployed in client location. No proper compensation and hike , after receiving good rating and appreciation mails from client.(2% hike). 2. Need to compromise with technical skills. For java candidate they will send to dot net , UI and support Interviews. 3. RMZ department from company don’t think about, candidates career . They just send forcefully for all interviews. Personally I felt many times , they won’t respect candidates professional careers. 4. If we raise voice against manager and HR . They will give negative feedback back against candidates, when we join new company. It’s my personal experience. 5. It’s a suggestion for those who are working in client locations:don’t come back to bench to search new good suitable technology project. RMZ will do mental harassment. 6. RMZ and HR will create situation like either you have to resign forcefully or you need to accept any projects(support or non technical also ). 7. I never suggest this company to anyone. I spoiled my career here. HR and manager gives false and negative feedback in Verification call.

Pros
The work culture is very bad; compensation and hike is very very bad; Facilities are very bad Weekends working employees are in Pathetic situation where restrooms are not clean and no food in the campus.... Instead of AC they provide fans on weekends Cafeteria food on the weekdays are also very bad in taste and maintenance.... Definitely not a good place to work with... Managers are not co-operative in getting facilities better... Managers don’t want to raise these concerns in front of the higher management... Night shift allowance is very low when compared to other companies and even that does not come on time... Hundred procedures need to be done like filling the time sheet and all that and then also some times you get sometimes manager will tell that they could not approve and all stories here... Not a friendly place to work with
Cons
Very bad place to work with, no free transport; no Good tasty food in the campus; very bad compensation and hikes; shift allowance is also very less when compared to other companies; too bad; higher management is only keen on checking their profits not concerned about their junior employees; there are not good projects and transparency is very less on ijp and internal movements ; lot of bias ness with favourite employees ... appraisals and promotions are know as expected even before results are released officially ... very bad

I was working as Manager "C2" in CIS BU. Received many appreciations / awards in my entire tenure. But being C2 level is risk in Capgemini.

Pros
Nothing to like about this company.
Cons
Job Security : No job security and anyone can loose job any time. One need to beg for projects and RMG team does not co-operate with you to find opportunities. On top of it if you don't find project in desired time, you will be fired without any intimation. Career Growth : It's manager driven company. If you are your manager's person then only you will get some career growth. Instead of you wanted to grow with your skill and with your own talent, then forget this company. Work Environment : Capgemini spending good amount to showcase ambiance of their office. You will not be having work-life balance. If you talk about your imbalance, instead of support you may hear that its your problem. The IT / HR processes are well defined however they are very slow in response and often do a poor job. Yhe HR follow the norms of being the worst people on this planet. They forget that it is their job to help to employee. And if leave the company then they are very very slow in response. They might be enjoying to see their ex-employee to see in trouble.

I work in a Payments domain account. And till now my experience was great but nowadays it’s getting worse as there is 0% salary hikes or 3-5%

Pros
Work culture is great but it depends on account and team. My personal experience is good because my team was awesome but now it’s getting worse day by day, because of people capgemini is hiring
Cons
Capgemini was a good company until they IGate merger. It’s getting worse day by day since then. The policies they are imposing on employees. And compensation wise they are worst now. They are ready to pay more money to lateral resource who is incompetent and doesn’t have ability at all but still selected. And old resources who joined as a fresher long back and still working there for more than 7 years, showing loyalty, gets very less paid, not even 1:1 ratio for no. of years of experience and package. Is it a correct thing?

Pros
Nothing to like about this company
Cons
I have given interview in CG at Magarpatta office. I have given 3 rounds and after that I was selected. HR named Akshay Sawant called me and negotiate me about my salary. I am drawing 6.95 LPA in my current organization but then too I accept the salary 8 LPA. HR was first telling me that he can only offer me 7.23 LPA. Then he stopped communicating further. When I have taken follow up then he told me that the requirements is filled internally and you now have to give one more interview. One person have taken my interview and then HR mailed me saying that I am not selected in the interview. They company HR do all type of unethical practice behind company named. On mail ask for documents and then fill the position internally and stopped communicating altogether. It's my humble request to the admin that don't remove my post as I just wanted to let people know that HR of the company is not doing the right thing. I feel cheated as after 3 months of long time after documents submitted I didn't get any offer letter.

Pros
The only thing I am positive about Capgemini is the Job security where one can be assured of not loosing their job and the work life balance.
Cons
Throughout my tenure at Capgemini BsV or Business Services or BPO engagement (excluding other engagements), the worst part is the compensation and benefits, promotion which is very very poor and slow, even positive contribution from the employee's doesn't yield a justified return at the year end however on the other hand, Capgemini as a group publishes religiously their Groups year on year Foreign currency growth, policy on various aspects changes from time to time without proper clarification behind, even had a year without an increment, learning and development carries out a structure that adds no value to a person's career or for their present job profile, project or BPO engagement, even raising or providing a feedback on their internal portal, they hardly pay heed to take any initiative for a positive outcome. Most of the people work in a terrified state as because despite job security, people can't raise voices properly as the outcome and treatment depends on it. People Management is friendly and works on your favour until you disagree. I hate to say but in reality, negative news are more prevalent than positive one's.

My team was my biggest asset. We had best team and we used to go out team outings.

Pros
It was a good experience. Even though work balance was tough, i cannot complain much because Job security was big asset. I got my wage increase, Promotions, onsite travels since i had patience to wait.so management took care of their best resources and provided best opportunities to grown. You need to some patience because company is big and they take their time to provide right opportunities but they wont deny you anything out of politics. Some people dont have patience so they will be switching jobs. you cannot expect exponential career growth but you can see incremental growth. I loved my work because its enhanced my skills and gave me lot of opportunities to grow and develop as a person.
Cons
work life balance for a women is bit tough. They dont have flexible working hours for women so it will become tough to retain women who have kids. I guess this is a common problem across all IT companies. We cannot single out capgemini.
